Welcome to The Database Homepage.

Updated simultaneously via every submitted questionnaire and combined with selected third party data sources, a unique DB record of your company is compiled known as a snapshot. Each Client is given a special ID that holds all Snapshots together for easy analyses over a time series.

Multiple views for comparison against your dataset can be created at the time of submission against various criteria like industry sector, company size and the like. Individual Project ID’s against your Company ID Records are stored to enable simultaneous detail tracking of various threads over time like an IT project and Change Management project, or supplier one and supplier two. 

Common data structures and interfaces provided by Performance Track to various third party sources ensures a broad, meaningful and objective comparison is made every time. All you need do is submit your data as often as you like and we do the rest.

Business Design

Each Questionnaire is built in Adobe ePaper, and is like a giant form. Each field in each questionnaire correlates to a field in the database. Many of the questions ask for numerical values. These numerical values are then used to calculate Performance Indicator ratios in our database from two or more values and an operator. Against your record in the snapshot, you will then have a description, a value and a performance indicator.

The second stage is to use these ratios or specific values to match against an identical statistically averaged dataset to see how the calculated indicator compares against the sample. On this basis you get a relative and absolute score against the sample. The system also adds your data to the set thus increasing the population, ensuring with every submission the sample is always up to date.

The snapshot is compiled from a series of over two hundred business indicators, selected from our extensive indicator pool. We are adding to this all the time, for specific industries and tasks like IT.

This means, when you make a second snapshot you will see not just how your specific figures have altered, but how the sample has altered. In other words, you can see how you have changed in absolute terms (old and new values) and relative terms (old and new your data Vs old and new Sample data - how well is this improvement in relation to the overall market.

Key Performance Indicators are designated as such by you. KPI is simply an important (in time) indicator you wish to track. It is designated as such. You will have as a minimum 150 Performance Indicators to give you the big picture; you will want to choose just a few to focus on a particular task or project. Finally then, against each project the KPI’s selected from the indicator pool can be tracked.

Security

The database is stored via hosted server in a fully secured environment. The database is currently accessible via Virtual Private Network (VPN) and access is restricted to Performance Track employees. Our on-line database is currently in development and will be made accessible most likely through PKI (Public Key Infrastructure).

The online system will provide a different service to the ePaper system. Online real time analyses will be enabled for those businesses with sufficient data to need such service. Indicators can be selected online for instant comparison. The ePaper system is the most secure as no data is transmitted, and is as secure as paper. It must of course not be left around.

Performance Track is fully compliant with the Data Security Act, and is willing on request to sign a non-disclosure agreement. All information in any case is protected via client confidentiality and no information will be provided to third parties without permission.

Lastly it is the unique identifier, which is used to link the records and the Snapshots, not the company name. This link is stored in a second separate secure database.

To have access to a similar database to provide you with the same amount of information that can then be processed in so many different ways and applications would be almost impossible, particularly for an SME organisation. This is the power of our database and service, and part of the value we provide our clients.
